This is my first time listening to Mother Eel. I have no idea of who they are and what kind of music they play. So i gave them a try, and you know what? They rocks !!! They have different elements in all of those seven tracks they presented here. Sometimes it remind me of basic Metallic Hardcore and sometimes it even have Black Metal elements, and even Dillinger Escape Plan comes to mind when listening to this. But basically the music are tight pounding drum with rusty metallic guitar sound backed by deep bass and distorted screaming vocal. They claims to be a live band and it's proven through this tightly recorded live set. Besides of the turn down on the cover artwork, one thing that that can describe what this band is, HEAVY!
