This is a blast! These Singaporean trios know how to deliver old school grindcore in its perfect way. I am personally have been hungered for this kind of music for years. Even the songs structures are not that original, but the raw energy that Wormrot have combined with top-notch sound recording give this record an ideal atmosphere for a grindcore records. 25 tracks of non-typical super speed grindcore brutality with none of them are reaching two minutes running time. A real old school grindcore slap!!
If I’m not mistaken, Dirge is the first Wormrot release with Earache, and being the respective label with history of releasing early Napalm Death stuff, Earache had made a right decision. Dirge really deserves an international attention. All in, Dirge is extreme and superb!!
