THE BLACK LANTERNS – 7 TRACKS MINI ALBUM

The Black Lanterns is new for me and this album gonna be an introduction of what the band is. After few listening to this seven tracks mini album, the experience is like you are in a concert where Black Sabbath and The White Stripes are playing simultaneously. The riff really heavy and blues-y distorted with the mid tempo rock drum strokes. To make it magnificent, these UK based band had put effect on the vocal line and it was done perfectly. The fourth track, Red Carpet, really reminds me of the Misfits’ We Bite but without the melodic chanting chorus. Listening to this seven tracks are not enough, you will be wanting and hoping for more because you believe they can do it even better. For me, nothing much to complain, except the band should take extra consideration to creatively structuring all the tracks with unique elements, or else, all the songs will ended sounding the same.
