DIAMOND PLATE - GENERATION WHY? CD

Generation Why? felt on the side fence of metalcore instead of thrash as they claimed to be. Yes, they do have the thrash hint here and there, but personally I consider that this is metalcore rather than thrash. The guitar sound very wet, heavy but the groove is just very normal, nothing impressive. The drum is slow to mid tempo and nothing that challenge the band musical ability. The vocal is harsh in spitting words, the only thing that makes me want continue listening. Recording and mixing is perfect since Neil Kernon (used to work with Judas Priest and Deicide) is behind the deck. Diamond Plate has been touring for years, so I think they might have and gathered fan-base to appreciate this album. And lastly, I think they should take extra care on the cover work!
