Opposition Rising might be new to some of us since they just formed during fall of 2010. But they consist of punk veteran from the Mouth Sewn Shut and Toxic Narcotic, so expect some tightness and maturity here. Aftermathematics to my ears is totally hardcore punk attack with some youth crew sing along chorus. After giving them a spin, I see no weakness in this LP. The song structure and recording are just perfect for a hardcore punk band. This Boston punk really reminds me to my favorite Japanese’s Youth Strike Chords (RIP), but without harsh vocal and speed. A really good release I must say.
